Birthday Wishes and Florida

First off, Happy Birthday to nehellania! You're such a wonderful friend, so kind and caring, and I'm so very glad to know you. Have the best birthday ever, filled with family, friends, love and amazing gifts!

In other news, Dad is in Florida. He left yesterday, and will be home tomorrow night. He's looked at some more properties, and met with the all of the real estate people- mortage brokers, real estate agents, and a lawyer my aunt recommended. He got a chance to see that second unit we were thinking of, and he really liked it. Large rooms, nice view, and the price is now down to $140,000. I doubt he's going to make a permanent decision just yet, but I think with a price like that, this is the unit to go for.

Heck yeah! This sounds like just what you guys need.

I'm glad you posted, I was getting concerned. Always good to hear your voice, Andi! *hug*

I just saw your post- I didn't mean to worry you!

I was just talking to Dad, and he found a community in Boynton Beach that he loves even more than the other. There are no restrictions on pets, they have amazing pools, and a lot of younger people in the 30-40 age group, which means there would be people there my own age. Also, while the unit would cost between 215 and 225, the dues are much, much less, so it might be a very good deal for us.

Oh, that sounds even better! I was wondering about the cats. I understand what you said before, about hating to lie. We have two cats but when we moved in we said we only had one; it was the only way we were going to get this place. Luckily our cats behave and there haven't been any problems. But I hated it too, felt so bad lying to our landlord.

This community is huge- between the houses and the condos, there are over a thousand units. I figure we can bring in an elephant and no one would notice!

Dad sounded so excited, he wouldn't stop raving. He told me he's not making any definite committment until he can bring me down to Florida to see the place. Since this will be my home, too, he wants my stamp of approval before he signs on the dotted line.
