Does anyone really want to read this?

So, I'm not a football fan by any means, but I was quite happy that the Giants won the Super Bowl.  Mostly for my father, who is a rabid Giants fan and has been rewatching the game all day, but also for New York in general.  Even though I'm not really a fan of any kind of sport, I do feel a general sense of pride when a local team wins the big event, sort of the way I do when a US athlete wins in the Olympics.  Also, there's something really annoying about Tom Brady to me, so I didn't want him to win.  Maybe it's the abandoning of his baby's mother for another model.  Talk about classy.

Tomorrow, of course, is Super Tuesday here in New York.  I'm a Hillary Clinton supporter all the way, though I seem to be in the minority on my friends list, most everyone is for Obama.  (No one seems to vote Republican, which does give me a small sense of relief).  My father has assured me that even though he's pretty much Republican ideologically, he's still a registered Democrat, and he's going to vote for Hillary, for my sake.  I'm very touched, considering the things he says about her.  He says once she's elected president, she'll be seding Bill off to Outer Mongolia as an ambassador, just to keep him out of the way.  I guess it's possible.  *laughs*

Also, congrats to As The World Turns producers today.  We finally got a kiss!  Admittedly it was only on the cheek, but every little bit helps.

*joins you in the Hillary corner*

Thank God! *Lunges at you and hugs tightly*

I just read "A sight for sore eyes" and "Thirteen steps down" by Ruth Rendell. Both were very good. The one I read a couple of months ago, whose title I couldn't remember, was called "The Water's Lovely". Another great one.

"Thirteen Steps Down" and "The Water's Lovely" *nod, nod* Both on the "To Be Read" shelf. I'm drawing a blank on "A Sight for Sore Eyes", though. Will have to investigate that one. :-)

It's not a new one, just one I happened to pick up on the shelf in the bookstore. They didn't have much in the non-Wexford books. I just ordered a copy of Anna's Book off of Amazon for a penny. The shipping is $3.99, but the book is a penny. I call that a good bargain.
