Surgery on Thursday- maybe
It all depends on two things- medical clearance from my GP, and approval from my insurance company. The GP thing might be a little iffy, just because of time. I have to take a physical, an EKG, a chest X-Ray and bloodwork. No problem with the exam and the EKG, they do that right at the office, but the other stuff I go elsewhere, and they get sent the results. The nurse said she doesn't know if they can get the results back in two days, but they'll try.
As for the insurance approval, who knows? It took a month for them to approve the appointment, so I have no idea what their time frame for surgery is. Hopefully quicker.

I'm of two minds with all of this. On one hand, I just want to get it over with, the sooner, the better. On the other, this feels very rushed to me. So really, I have no idea how I feel about any of this.

Ugh, I'd be torn about that, too - - you don't want to rush too much with something like this, but I know you do want to get it over with.

I think it's the whole up in the air thing that bothers me the most- I just want to know if it's happening or not. This maybe stuff drives me nuts. And if the surgery is put off, do I have to go through all of these tests all over again?

To my knowledge, the tests results stand for about three months before new ones are required (at least where I live!)But hopefully you'll get the approval and have your surgery soon. I personally prefer to have things done and get over with rather than going through endless waiting.

I'm crossing my fingers for a painless procedure and a speedy recovery. *Hugs*

I just want to get it over with. They just changed the day on me, from Thursday to Friday, so we'll see what happens. *Hugs back*

hah, the same icon! We're like twins!

The surgery date has been changed to Friday now. Here's hoping it's the last change!
